In 2007, PSE rocked the archery world with the introduction of the X-Force bow. The PSE X-Force instantly upped archery’s longstanding arrow-speed standard in spectacular fashion, besting the competition’s fastest bows by at least 15 to 20 feet per second. But that wasn’t all. At the same time that the X-Force delivered so much more arrow speed, it also delivered an almost unbelievably quiet and shock-free shot. The bow world hasn’t been the same ever since.

2009 Mathews McPherson Series Monster

Mathews founder and President Matt McPherson has been designing and producing compound bows since about 1970.  He launched his very first bow company, McPherson Archery, in 1985. That company specialized in fast two-cam bows with unusually high letoff. Difficulties with partners caused Matt to sell his shares in that company just three years later. But in 1992, armed with an even better idea (the one-cam concept), Matt founded Mathews Inc., and the bow world was forever changed.
