Hoyt CRX 32

Bow Report

Hoyt CRX 32

Hoyt is simply on a roll. Legendary bows like the UltraTec, Trykon, Alpha Max, Maxxis and Carbon Matrix have awed archers far and wide. The brand’s toughness, coupled with its ability to produce accurate, forgiving bows, has created a virtual “Hoyt Nation.” And this nation is growing at a rapid rate.

In 2010, Hoyt sent chills through the archery world with the unveiling of the Carbon Matrix. This stylish rig with its revolutionary carbon-tube riser served as Hoyt’s flagship bow, and this was a ship archers simply couldn’t get enough of. The Carbon Matrix was plucked off dealers’ shelves at an astonishing rate. The bow’s groundbreaking technology and sweet shot won the hearts of countless bowhunters and target archers.

2011 will be etched as another year of genius at Hoyt. Hordes of archery fanatics are abuzz about the company’s new bow lineup. Longer axle-to-axle fans are drooling over the Carbon Matrix Plus and the CRX 35, while the short axle-to-axle crowd clings to the Carbon Element and the CRX 32. Eighty years of brilliance has been poured into this innovative line, and I could write pages praising each bow.

For this review however, we will be detailing the CRX 32. This silent killer sports jaw-dropping appeal and boasts loads of custom Hoyt technology. The gaping holes in the Tec Lite riser were engineered for weight reduction and distribution. This masterful design creates a sturdy, lightweight shooting platform that is incredibly balanced. A lean Tec Lite riser isn’t the only thing promoting balance on this sweet-shooting machine. The CRX’s Offset Stabilizer Position acts to counter-balance the weight of bow-mounted accessories such as sights, arrow rests and bowquivers.

Take my word for it—the CRX 32 is an excellent companion to tote deep in the back country or high in a towering oak.
