Welcome to Bowhunt America's SpyPoint Central. For the next year we will be posting and discussing pictures we gather with our SpyPoint Tiny-W Scouting Cameras. In addition, we will also be posting weekly camera setup tips and information about the Tiny-W SpyPoint Scouting Camera.
I have a passion for hunting big plains mule deer. There big racks and enormous bodies are very tough to ignore. My 2011 quest for a Pope and Young mule deer had entered November.
I'd gotten tons of great SpyPoint pictures, but just couldn't close the deal. However, my SpyPoints told me deer were still in the area, and showed several does frequenting an area around a standing corn field. I kept this information in mind on November 25, 2011 as I headed out for an evening hunt. Glassing down the edges of the corn field, I saw a monster buck not 200 yards from one of my cameras. With the wind in my favor, I made a stealthy stalk and put the big bruiser down. At 175 inches this is the biggest buck of my hunting career. Oddly enough, I didn't have one single picture of this buck, but my SpyPoint Cameras told me where the does were hanging and that's where I focused my attention.
